Anthony from Heasly & Son
My name is Anthony Heasly, and I founded this company in 2020. My journey into the trades began at a young age, learning the ropes from my father, who worked as an electrician and air conditioning plumber. From the age of 12, I spent my school holidays and, occasionally, disciplinary leaves from school, assisting him on various projects. By 16, it became evident that traditional schooling wasn’t my path, leading me to embark on my first apprenticeship in electrical work with my father.
However, my interests soon gravitated towards plumbing. An opportunity to work on roofing projects arose, and I eagerly seized it, joining a team that specialized in roofing mainly basketball stadiums, schools, cladding, and glass roofs. After five enriching years, I felt the urge to expand my skill set further.
Transitioning to a company that offered both plumbing and roofing services, I delved deeper into plumbing, focusing on drainage and general plumbing tasks for four years. Seeking yet another challenge, I ventured into high-rise construction, honing my skills in stack work and obtaining necessary licenses through night schooling.
As 2020 dawned amidst the chaos of the pandemic, I made the bold decision to launch my own business. Despite the uncertainties, I embraced the opportunity, fueled by years of experience and a desire for independence. Today, with a dedicated team by my side, I’m proud of the growth and success we’ve achieved. Looking ahead, I envision my father joining me in the company as he nears retirement, completing a journey that began with his mentorship years ago.
